===========================================================================
SYNOP: (NWS SAN DIEGO)
Today will be cooler with a continuing recovery of humidity for inland areas. It will be warmer with weak offshore flow for the weekend. Lower inland humidity combined with gusty winds of 35 mph or less near the coastal slopes of the mountains will elevate fire weather conditions for Sunday for the coastal mountain slopes and inland valleys. A cooling trend will begin on Monday with higher coast humidity beginning to spread inland. Cooler with a chance of showers for the middle into the latter part of next week.

Temperatures will remain near normal today, with mid 50s to mid 60s across the mountains and upper 60s and 70s in the valleys.

· Minimum humidity will be mainly between 15% and 30% today.

· Winds will be light today.

· Temperatures will be well above normal Saturday through Monday, with mid 60s to mid 70s across the mountains and upper 70s and 80s in the valleys.

· Minimum humidity will be mainly in the single digits and teens Saturday through Monday.

· Northeast winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph will surface across the mountains and below the canyons and passes of Southern California Saturday morning through Sunday morning.

· Northeast winds will decrease to 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 35 mph and become more localized Sunday afternoon through Monday morning and then become light region wide by Monday afternoon.

· Significant cooling will start Tuesday and then temperatures will be well below normal Wednesday through the end of next week.

· Strong south to west winds will surface across the mountains and deserts Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday afternoon.

· Showers will move across the area Tuesday evening through Thursday night.

· Moderate rainfall amounts will occur over Southern California and the Sierra, with light rainfall amounts expected across the rest of Central California.

NWS LAS VEGAS SYNOP– (NORTH & EAST OF COUNTY)
Dry conditions will continue through early next week with temperatures remaining well above seasonal normals. Northerly breezes will be on the increase over the weekend in the Colorado River Valley which may result in elevated fire danger, particularly on Sunday. A change in the weather pattern will bring cool and cloudy conditions and widespread rainfall by midweek.

DAILY FUELS/FIRE POTENTIAL:
Cool and fairly humid conditions will only allow for light initial attack activity across the region today. Gusty offshore winds along with very warm temperatures and very low humidity will bring an elevated threat for large fire to Southern California Saturday through Monday. Extreme fire behavior with rapid rates of spread and long range spotting will be likely if an ignition were to occur in a windy area. Initial attack activity will become moderate Saturday through Monday. Dead fuel moisture will remain at record low levels through Monday and live fuel moisture will remain critically low. Initial attack activity will become light and the large fire threat will become very low Tuesday as temperatures cool and humidity increases. No fire activity is anticipated Wednesday through the end of next week due to the anticipation of a wetting rainfall across the area. The wetting rainfall will increase the dead fuel moisture substantially and there will be a small increase in the live fuel moisture.

SANTA ANA WILDFIRE THREAT INDEX: TODAY: GREY-NO RATING
