SYNOP: (NWS SAN DIEGO)
A weak trough of low pressure aloft and stronger onshore flow will continue to spread cooling inland today with stronger and gusty west winds in the mountains and deserts with gusts in the windier
locations to around 50 mph. The marine layer is near 2500 feet deep. There will be mostly minor day to day changes through at least the middle of next week with temperatures a little warmer
for Saturday, then a little cooler into Monday, then a little warmer for the middle of next week.
There will be little change to the near normal temperatures through Monday, with 70s to low 80s across the mountains and 80s to mid 90s in the valleys.

· Minimum humidity will remain mainly between 15% and 30% above and inland from the marine layer through Monday.

· The marine layer will be between 2,000 and 3,000 feet deep through Monday.

· Isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop over the Sierra Crest through Monday.

· Westerly winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 50 mph will surface across the desert passes through Monday.

· Temperatures will warm a couple degrees and humidity will drop into the single digits and teens above and inland from the marine layer Tuesday and Wednesday.

· Temperatures will cool back to near normal and gusty westerly winds will return to the desert passes late next week.

· No shower or thunderstorm activity is anticipated across the area Tuesday through the end of next week.

NWS LAS VEGAS SYNOP– (NORTH & EAST OF COUNTY)
Shower and thunderstorm chances have replaced the heat, mainly north of Las Vegas, with very dry conditions continuing south. Afternoon humidities less than 15 percent for the deserts will continue to cure fuels while bouts of breeziness in the afternoon will also help drying and bring conditions to
near critical, though likely remaining just under.

CHANGES SINCE PREVIOUS BRIEFING
Excessive Heat Warning has EXPIRED. Only spotty moderate heat impacts expected through the weekend, with temperatures possibly
ramping back up later next week. Another concern for today will be scattered thunderstorms with strong and gusty winds.

CONFIDENCE AND DETAILS
Moderate Heat Impacts Mainly Below 2000 􀅌
MODERATE Confidence
Increased risk to children and pets left unattended in hot vehicles or outdoors.
Dehydration, hyperthermia, and heat cramps could impact those who do not take precautions.
Prolonged exposure to heat can result in heat stroke and heat exhaustion.
Details:
TEMPS THROUGH SUNDAY
Las Vegas/Boulder City: 100-102 (low heat risk)
Needles, Lake Havasu City, Laughlin/Bullhead City: 106-109 (moderate heat risk)
Lake Mead National Recreation Area: 107-110 (moderate heat risk)
Pahrump, Barstow, Morongo Basin: 100-103 (low/moderate heat risk)
Death Valley: 115-117 (moderate heat risk)
Kingman: 94-96 (low heat risk)

Higher Terrain, Esp. Clark Co. Mtns.
MODERATE Confidence Chance for thunderstorms developing over the mountains beginning around noon. Main concern is erratic and gusty outflow winds in nearby areas, including the Las Vegas Valley, in the afternoon.

SPECIAL NOTES:

DAILY FUELS/FIRE POTENTIAL:
Strong west winds will maintain an elevated risk for large fire through the desert passes through Monday. If an ignition were to occur in one of these windy areas, extreme fire behavior with rapid rates of spread will be likely. The potential for large fire will be relatively low across the rest of the region due to near normal temperatures and humidity above critical levels. Light initial attack activity will continue across the area through the forecast period
