SYNOP:
Isolated light showers will end by late morning. Dry with a warming trend and weak offshore flow this weekend. Minor cooling Monday and Tuesday as a weak trough moves through, followed by warming and drying Wednesday and Thursday. A moderate Santa Ana event is possible by Thursday with gusty northeast to east winds and daytime humidity in the teens.
The last bands of rain will continue to push eastward through the far southeastern deserts this morning, but most of the organized precipitation has ended for the day. There will still be a few light showers possible on the north slopes of the Angeles and San Bernardino N.F. as well as the Grapevine during the morning hours. Little additional rainfall is expected. Light offshore flow and sunny skies will bring a warming trend over the weekend. A storm system moving into the Great Basin may bring stronger offshore winds and areas of light showers next Tuesday. Long range models depict another wet system’s arrival around the 17th.
· Mostly sunny skies with temperatures climbing back into the 30s and 40s in the mountains to the lower 70s in the valleys over the weekend.
· Widespread and locally dense fog in the San Joaquin Valley during the night and morning hours through the weekend.
· Local offshore winds of 10-20 mph over Southern CA this weekend, possibly increasing to 25-35 mph next Tuesday.
· Scattered showers possible over Central California next Monday night into Tuesday. Precipitation amounts will likely be under a quarter of an inch.

NWS LAS VEGAS SYNOP– (NORTH & EAST OF COUNTY)
Expect cloudy skies with rain and mountain snow over much of the eastern half of the area this morning as a storm system passes across the region. The system departs to the east later today with conditions clearing west to east and shower activity ending by this evening. High pressure will bring dry and warmer weather to the region over the weekend.

SPECIAL NOTES:

DAILY FUELS/FIRE POTENTIAL:
There will be little or no fire activity across the region through the forecast period.
