SYNOP: (NWS SAN DIEGO)
Dry and warm conditions inland will prevail today under scattered high level cloudiness. Another trough on Monday and Tuesday will bring more gusty winds Monday night through Tuesday night with strong winds possible along the desert mountain slopes to portions of the deserts. There is a chance of light showers from the coast to the mountains Monday night through Tuesday. High pressure will build back in during the later part of next week, resulting in dry and warmer conditions.

NWS LAS VEGAS SYNOP– (NORTH & EAST OF COUNTY)
A weak weather disturbance will bring high clouds and breezy south to southwest winds today. A stronger system will move across the region Monday and Tuesday bringing are-wide windy conditions and cooler temperatures. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms possible Monday night and Tuesday as an associated cold front moves across the southern Great Basin. After Wednesday temperatures will gradually warm into the weekend.

The next colder storm will affect the region Monday night into Wednesday with potentially heavy precipitation. The bulk of significant snow accumulations are currently expected above 7,000 feet. However, areas such as the benches, Wasatch Back, southwest Wyoming, and higher elevations along I-15 and I-70 such as near
Cove Fort will also see the potential for accumulating snowfall.

If heavy low elevation rainfall develops, expect rises on area rivers and streams due to rain and snow melt.
