SYNOP: (NWS SAN DIEGO)
A low pressure system over Arizona will move east with high pressure aloft strengthening near the West Coast. This will bring dry weather with a warming trend through Thursday for coastal and valley areas, continuing into Friday for the deserts. The first in a pair of weak low pressure systems will begin to spread cooling inland on Friday with greater cooling on Saturday.
Stronger onshore flow will bring a return and deepening of the marine layer for Friday through Sunday. There will also be stronger and gusty west winds in the mountains and deserts with the strongest winds Saturday afternoon and evening. Sunday will be slightly warmer followed by greater warming through the middle of next week as high pressure aloft strengthens across California.
Temperatures will warm to around 5 degrees above normal today, with upper 50s and 60s across the mountains and 70s to low 80s in the valleys.

Temperatures will continue to warm Thursday and be between 10 and 15 degrees above normal, with upper 60s and 70s across the mountains and 80s to low 90s in the valleys.

Local northeast winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph will surface across the mountains and below the canyons and passes of Southern California Thursday morning.

A few degrees of cooling will occur Friday and then temperatures will return to near normal this weekend.

Westerly winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 50 mph will surface across the wind prone mountain and desert locations Friday evening through Saturday night.

Much warmer and dryer weather will take place early next week.

There will also be local gusty offshore winds over the mountains and below the canyons and passes of Southern California early next week.

NWS LAS VEGAS SYNOP– (NORTH & EAST OF COUNTY)
Gusty northerly winds and low Relative humidity values below 15 percent will result in elevated fire danger today down the Colorado River Valley. Elsewhere dry and seasonable conditions are expected. Warming conditions are expected through Friday, with gusty southwesterly winds returning to much of the region Saturday.

SPECIAL NOTES:

DAILY FUELS/FIRE POTENTIAL:
High live fuel moisture will cause the potential for large fire to remain low across the region through the forecast period. Also, any significant wind will be accompanied with high humidity. Light initial attack activity will be possible across lower elevations through the forecast period due to the rapid curing of fine fuels.
