==============================================================================
SOUTH OPS WX:
A weak trough will be over California through Friday. Strong high pressure will build northward from Mexico this weekend and become centered over the Desert Southwest early next week.
· Maximum temperatures will be a little below normal today, with mid 50s to mid 60s across the mountains and 70s to low 80s in the valleys.
· Minimum humidity will be mainly between 20% and 40% today.
· Isolated showers will develop over the Central Sierra this afternoon.
· There will be northerly winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph across Santa Barbara County and the Grapevine tonight.
· Temperatures will warm to near normal and minimum humidity will drop to between 15% and 30% Thursday and Friday.
· Westerly winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 50 mph will surface through the desert passes Friday afternoon and evening.
· Significant warming will occur Saturday through early next week.
· Maximum temperatures will be in the 90s in the valleys and minimum humidity will be mainly in the teens away from the coastal areas by early next week.
· Winds will be light across the region Saturday through early next week.
SYNOP: (NWS SAN DIEGO)
A low pressure system will move east with weak high pressure moving across California on Thursday. This will bring a warming trend through Thursday with the marine layer becoming shallower. A low pressure system moving into the Pacific Northwest will bring stronger onshore flow to southern California on Friday and
Saturday with the marine layer deepening and cooling spreading inland. For Sunday through Tuesday, high pressure will strengthen across California. This will bring a warming trend with high temperatures on Tuesday generally 5 to 10 degrees above average.

NWS LAS VEGAS SYNOP– (NORTH & EAST OF COUNTY)
Key Points:
Increasing winds Friday with most areas seeing winds gusting to around 30 mph. Winds gusting between 30-35 mph over most areas Friday. However winds approaching 40 mph will be possible across
western San Bernardino and Morongo Valley.
Lower fire weather concerns for today and Thursday with lighter winds forecast. However, rising temperatures
and low humidity will result in further drying of fuels leading up to Friday when a low pressure system passes through the Great Basin. This looks like a progressive system and a short term fire weather concern for Friday, but wind gusts 30-35 MPH are possible across the region Friday afternoon. Winds are forecast to decrease again over the weekend with above normal temperatures and continued dry conditions continuing into next week.

DAILY FUELS/FIRE POTENTIAL:
Near normal temperatures along with humidity above critical levels will only allow for light initial attack activity across the region through Saturday. Well above normal temperatures and very low humidity will cause initial attack activity to increase Sunday through early next week. A large fire will be unlikely through the forecast period due to the absence of significant widespread winds and above normal live fuel moisture. The very warm and dry conditions will cause a substantial drop in the dead fuel moisture Sunday through early next week.
